Dr. Raymond Hanks is our Father and started Hanks Chiropractic Clinic and is a 1951 Graduate of Palmer College. Dr. Raymond Hanks, Jr. was a guest lecturer for many classes taught at Palmer College of Chiropractic over the years. Dr. Raymond Hanks, Jr. also lectured on Acupuncture and was certified to perform Acupuncture since 1971 when then President Nixon opened relations with China.

Our Grandfather Dr. Raymond Hanks, Sr. practiced in Gerard, Illinois. Both Dr. Eric and Dr. Douglas J. Hanks, are brothers, and are third generation chiropractors, and are both certified with advanced training in Acupuncture.

With the statue of Dr. D. D. Palmer in the background, Dr. Raymond Hanks Jr. of Burlington, president-elect of the Iowa Chapter of the Palmer College of Chiropractic Alumni Assn., spoke at the campus during a Founder's Day memorial service this morning. Dr. Palmer established the school 69 years ago. Jenny and Vickie Palmer, both daughters of Dr. David D. Palmer, current college president, placed a wreath beneath the statue, Mrs. Valdeenia Simons of Peoria, III., a daughter of the founder's first patient, also spoke during the service.
